Question 1

Why is it cheaper on booking platforms?

Accepted Answer

Those prices usually don't include insurance, delivery, or unlimited kilometers. By the time you add everything, the final cost is often the same — or more. With us, the price you see is the price you pay. No surprises at the counter.

Question 2

Why should I book directly instead of through a platform?

Accepted Answer

When you book direct, you talk to the owner — not a call center. You get personal pickup with your name on a sign, a hand-drawn map, route advice, and someone who answers the phone at midnight if anything goes wrong. No platform can offer that.

Question 3

Do I really need a car in Ikaria?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are no buses, the island is large, and most beaches and villages aren't reachable on foot. A scooter works for short distances but gets uncomfortable on mountain roads — especially in the evening when it gets cold. A car gives you freedom to explore the whole island.

Question 4

What does the insurance cover?

Accepted Answer

Every rental includes civil liability insurance. We also offer collision damage waiver with a €600 deductible. Photos of the car are taken together at pickup and return so there are no disputes.

Question 5

Can you pick me up at the port or airport?

Accepted Answer

Yes — port, airport, or your hotel completely for free. Far away? Just a small fee will apply. Thodoris will be there before you arrive, with the contract ready and your name on a sign. For arrivals between 10PM and 7AM, there's a €25 night delivery fee — but if you ask nicely, it might disappear.

Question 6

What if the car breaks down?

Accepted Answer

Call Thodoris directly. He'll either walk you through a fix over the phone or come find you — even if you're two hours away. This has happened before and he drove out with a replacement car on the spot.

Question 7

Are kilometers limited?

Accepted Answer

No. Unlimited kilometers on every rental. Drive around the whole island as many times as you want.

Question 8

What comes with the car?

Accepted Answer

Civil liability insurance, unlimited kilometers, Bluetooth adapter (for cars without built-in Bluetooth), USB stick with music (Ikaria only gets 2 radio stations), and a hand-drawn local map with route tips, restaurant recommendations, and roads to avoid.
